Juried Art and Miniature Show

Barbara Freeman has been accepted into the Juried Art Show at Live ARTS Bothell.with her two drawings, The Dwelling Place and Seen Better Days . Also juried into the Miniature Art show are her miniature works, Around the Bend, Jack, Mr. Bigshot and A Little Piece of Tuscany. This annual event is held in the beautiful Park at Bothell Landing along the Sammamish River. The Juried Art Show is held in the Lytle House, one of several historical building in the park. There will be a preview Party on Friday, June 26th, 6 to 8pm. The Festival runs from Saturday and Sunday, June 27 &28th, 10am to 6pm. It's sure to be a great event!

Edmonds Arts Festival
52nd Annual Edmonds Arts Festival
Edmonds, WA

Barbara Freeman has had four miniatures accepted into the 52nd Annual Edmonds Arts Festival. The four fine art miniatures are, Nap Buddies, Chuckanut at Lunch, Walla Walla Sweet Onions, and her latest acrylic miniature painting, Awaiting the Harvest. This is the juried Art Show, inside the Frances Anderson Center, 700 Main Street, Edmonds,WA. In addition to the juried show, there is also an outdoor Arts Festival with food, music and artists' booths. This is a fun festival taking place on Fathers' Day weekend, June 19 through the 21st. For a first chance to purchase an original work of art and view the award winners, there will be a preview party on Thurs, June 18th. It's a great time for the whole family, bring Dad! Be sure to look for Barbara's work in the Miniature Art Exhibit inside the Juried Art Gallery.

17th Annual Juried International Miniature Show

Parklane Gallery proudly presents an exhibition of more than 300 works of Fine Art Miniatures online as well as in their gallery. Barbara Freeman has five of her miniatures juried in to this exhibition. The five works, Buddha in the Pacific Northwest, Autumn Reflections, In Fair Condition, Friends and Neighbors, can all be viewed online now at the Parklane Gallery website. Paintings may be purchased by calling 425-827-1462, or toll free 888-827-1462. There will be an Artist Reception & Awards presentation, May 16 from 7–9 p.m. The show runs from May 5, through May 31st. The Gallery is located, 130 Park Lane in Kirkland, Washington. Open Tuesday through Sunday - 11:00 to 7:00, and on the 2nd Thursday of each month, till 8:00 pm.

Creatures, Forms & Rhythms

Barbara Freeman is participating as guest artist in the Arts of Snohomish at the Carnegie, "Creatures, Forms and Rhythms" Exhibit. As "Rhythm", she will be exhibiting her canvas paintings from the Italian Hills Series, along with a selection of miniature artwork from this series. Arts of Snohomish member Janie Olsen will be presenting her paintings of our animal friends, "Creatures", in her unique, colorful style. Member, master potter, Steve Dalton will showcase his high quality functional stoneware pottery as "Form". This three person exhibition will be taking place from May 1st through May 31st. 18th International Miniature Art Show

The Seaside Art Gallery of the Outer Banks, NC has accepted three of Barbara Freeman's miniatures into their 18th International Miniature Art Show, one of the top three miniature shows in the USA. This nationally acclaimed show usually exhibits over 600 works of art by artists from all over the world. Some of the worlds most renown miniature artists participate each year. All accepted work, including Barbara's three pieces, is currently available for pre-show sales on the exhibit web site. The show runs from May 1st through June 1st, 2009 at the Seaside Art Gallery, 2716 South Virginia Dare Trail, Nags Head NC. There will be an open reception with many participating artists in attendance, on May 23, 2009 from 7PM to 9PM. The Pearl will be catering the event and there will be an awards presentation during the reception.

34th Annual International Miniature Art Show

Barbara Freeman has had all five of her miniature artworks juried into this year's Miniature Art Society of Florida's, 34th Annual International Miniature Art Show. The five miniature artworks are, Hay Bales, September Light, Under the Olive Tree, A Quiet Place, and It Must Be Spring. This exhibit takes place at the Dunedin Fine Art Center, 1143 Michigan Blvd, Dunedin, FL. The Opening Collectors Preview is on January 17th, and the Artists' Reception and Awards Brunch is on January 18th. The Official Opening of the exhibit is January 18th and runs through February 8, 2009.

75th Diamond Anniversary

Barbara Freeman has had three miniature works, Friends, In Fair Condition and Neighbors, juried into this year's 75th Annual International Exhibition of Fine Art in Miniature, Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers Society of Washington, D.C. The Exhibition opens November 16th and runs through January 3rd, 2009. The show will present over 700 works in various media from artists all over the world! This Diamond Anniversary Exhibit takes place at the Strathmore Mansion, 10701 Rockville Pike, North Bethesda, MD, (301)530-0540. On Sunday, November 16th, there will be an Artists' Luncheon and Awards Ceremony followed by the Opening Reception from 3:00 to 5:00. The Exhibition opens to the public on Monday, November 17th. The Miniature Painters, Sculptors & Gravers Society of Washington, D.C. (MPSGS) is the second oldest Miniature Arts Society in the world, the oldest in the United States.

Barbara Freeman has had two works, Our Neck of the Woods and The Watchers, juried into the 43rd Annual Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival taking place on September 5th, 6th and 7th. The exhibit will be hung in the Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Avenue in Old Town Mukilteo. There will be a free Patron's Party and Artists' Awards celebration taking place on Thursday, September 4th from 5:30 to 7:30, with complimentary hors d' oeuvres and a no host wine bar. Barbara Freeman has two works, The Dwelling Place and Before the Autumn Planting juried into the 10th Annual Kenmore Art Show held at the Northlake Lutheran Church, 6620 NE 185th St., Kenmore, WA. The exhibit runs from August 22 through August 31, 2:30 to 8:30 PM. There will be an Artists & Patrons Preview Party and Awards Celebration on Friday, August the 22, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, awards presented at 7:00. This exhibit is one of the finest "pure art shows" in the area. The artwork is well presented in a comfortable space, without vendors. For your enjoyment, there will be entertainment nightly from 7:00 to 8:00 PM during this exhibit.

Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival

Barbara Freeman has two pieces from her new Italian Series in the Festival's Juried Art Show, held at the Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Ave., Mukilteo. This 41st annual event ran Sept. 7 - 10, 2006.

Mukilteo Art Walk

Barbara Freeman displayed several recent works at the final 2006 edition of this monthly summer event, on Sept. 21, 5:00pm to 9:00pm. The Art Walk is a multi-venue event and Barbara's display was at the Art Studio building, 724 1st St., near the Silver Cloud Inn.
